Our mission is to open doors for a global dialogue that fosters collaboration and cultural exchange between students and professors in the field of health.

If you are a student or teacher in a university in another country and want to take advantage of our educational, extension or research opportunities, you can enroll in any of the ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL EXCHANGE AND TRAINING (APET) programs. In doing so, you can participate in internships in health care, community health promotion and education activities, and/or interact with our research groups.

This is an opportunity to enrich your academic and professional life in the field of health and health education in Latin America.

Also  improove your comunicating hability in Portuguese Language. This encourage the development of skills and knowledge capable of transforming communities and others regions.

ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL EXCHANGE AND TRAINING (APET)

There are five program modes available for international students and teachers.
If you wish to enroll in one of them follow these steps:

1 - Find your Program bellow 
2 - Send to International Relations -  REAII - the  Application Form to recieve the confirmation and the requirements for enrollment
3 - Program Fee (no refund) + Tuition
4 - Registration: fill the
EXCHANGE STUDENT REGISTRATION FORM  and send it with a  Tuition payment copy to reaii@bahiana.edu.br 

NOTE: the student from a partner institution with bilateral agreements can submit an apllication for APET 4 and APET 5 programs as a regular student, getting the tuition free.





• Provides an opportunity to participate in interdisciplinary health education activities, and students and teachers of various courses with an interest in cultural and population studies may enroll.
• Promotes participation in voluntary community activities as an opportunity to practice the language.
• Develops the fundamentals of the Portuguese language as a resource for social communication.
• Introduces basic notions of academic Portuguese.
• Presents History and Cultural Diversity.

Requirements:  
→ be a student or university professor.
→ have an interest in Latin American culture (as explained in your Letter of Interest informing us if you have also already had prior experience in another Latin American country). (students/professors)





• Provides an opportunity to participate in interdisciplinary health education activities, and students and teachers of various courses with an interest in cultural and population studies may enroll.

Requirements:  
→ 
Portuguese Language - Level A1
→ be a student or university professor.
→ have an interest in Latin American culture (as explained in your Letter of Interest informing us if you have also already had prior experience in another Latin American country). (students/professors)



• Provides training in different fields of practice in the areas of community health education and public health care services.
• Establishes a preliminary work plan, accompanied by a mentoring professor from the field of practice (students only).

Requirements:  
→ Portuguese Language - Level A1
→ Student - be an enrolled university student with the necessary prerequisites for the chosen activity.
→ Professor - be employed directly by a university.



• Enables the exchange of research methodologies and interaction with researchers and Scientific Initiation fellows.
• Allows for participation in ongoing research.
• Defines a work plan to be executed with a researcher from one of the university´s research groups.
• Establishes as a result of group participation, the production of an article for submission to a scientific journal.

Requirements:  
→ Portuguese Language - Level A2
→ be a student or teacher linked to the field of health.
→ be currently involved in research (student/professor).





Requirements:
→ Portuguese Language - Level A2 or Advanced
→ be an enrolled university student from a graduate and undergraduate program. In this case it is necessary a bilateral agreement between both institutions.
→ submit the documents requested by REAII, following analysis of your Letter of Interest by the Dean of Research and Innovation. (student).
