Bahiana participates in the 17th International Conference on International Human Retrovirology

An international conference promoted by the International Society of Human Retrovirology took place in Trois-Ilets, Martinique in France (French Antilles). Studies on newly discovered human retroviruses as well as recent data on virus-host interactions were presented at the conference with the intention of bringing together the majority of researchers working in this field. The conference provided an overview of current biomedical research, epidemiology and clinical research. Several works of BAHIANA researchers in partnership with Fiocruz were presented and Prof. Dr. Bernardo Galvão-Castro - coordinator of the Integrative and Multidisciplinary Center of HTLV of the Bahiana School of Medicine and Public Health, was honored with a Quality Award.
